N56136 Piper Cherokee Challenger 180
Our Piper Cherokee Challenger is 180 horsepower and flies like a dream. Built in 1973, she’s equipped for flight under VFR (Visual Flight Rules) and IFR (Instrument Flight Rules), and has been impeccably maintained throughout the years to maintain airworthiness as required by regulations.
One of the most popular training aircraft ever built, Piper Cherokees have introduced countless pilots to the joys of flight.
Simple systems, low wing configuration, modern appearance, and benign handling make it a favorite among flight instructors and flight students. With 180 horsepower, this Cherokee has a bit more “get up and go” than you’ll find with most other trainer aircraft that are in the 140-160 hp range. The bit extra horsepower also helps give a little more cruise speed which is nice for those cross country flights.
Equipment include the classic analog “Six Pack” instrumentation, nav-comm radios and other avionics and systems required for day and night flight under visual and instrument conditions, and for operation anywhere in the United States, including busy airspace around major cities.

N106CT Flight Design CTsw
The Flight Design CTsw was manufactured in 2008. The German company set out to create an aircraft that is light enough to fall into the light sport category, but quick enough to outperform even modern general aviation trainers. With a Rotax 912 producing 90hp, what it may seemingly lack in power is overcome by it’s airframe, weighing a meager 710 pounds. Overall this aircraft performs with a cruise of 115 knots (132mph) and burns 5.5 gallons per hour. Its tame handling characteristics and ability to sustain slow airspeeds make the CTsw a great overall trainer for a fraction of the cost.
